PPRC’s Founding Director

Robert F. Lanzillotti

Robert F. Lanzillotti, the Founding Director and benefactor of the Robert F. Lanzillotti Public Policy Research Center, passed away in 2022, at the ripe, young age of 101. Although Dr. Lanzillotti is no longer with us, his passion for high-quality, unbiased public policy research lives on. PPRC is eternally grateful to Dr. Lanzillotti for his vision, his leadership, and his philanthropy.

Robert Lanzillotti received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1953, and served as an Eminent Scholar and Dean of the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida. Before joining the Florida faculty in 1969, Professor Lanzillotti held appointments at Michigan State University, the Brookings Institution, Cornell University, NATO, and the U.S. Price Commission (a Presidential appointment). Dr. Lanzillotti served as chairman of the economic advisory board to Florida Governors Askew and Graham. He also served as a consultant to the U.S. Attorney General and testified before several U.S. Senate and House committees. Dr. Lanzillotti served as a director of many financial institutions and industrial companies, as an education advisor to the United Arab Emirates, and as a consultant to various financial institutions, the Attorney Generals of ten states, and major law firms.
